Bio / Resumé

Jesper Ganslandt (b. 1978) a self-taught director and writer, has since his dynamic and daring debute with much acclaimed Falkenberg farewell become one of the most fearless and bold voices of filmmaking in Sweden. Recently his fifth cutting-edge film Jimmie, following Falkenberg Farewell, The Ape (Toronto Film Festival) and Blondie (Venice Days) shows his unique, psychologically intense and experimental style.
Jimmie, starring his son Hunter, is forced to leave his land embarking on a challenging journey with his father. Jimmie opened Rotterdam film festival. Later this year Ganslandts first American thriller, Beast of Burden premieres, starring Daniel Radcliffe and Grace Gummer. Jesper has recently finished shooting the drama 438 days, based on the bestseller book, the extraordinary true story about two Swedish journalists crossing the barde between Somalia and into Ethiopia. Coming 2019.
