Bio / Resumé
Julia started out in the documentary world and even though her heart is now in the fictional, her passion for storytelling with authenticity shines through. Julia has a degree in directing from The Norwegian Film School and has a keen interest in psychology and human behavior. For her, the most important things in life and on film are relationships. This surely comes through in her script Daddy’s Girl which is a reversed Lolita story set in the Swedish country side. It’s gritty and soft at the same time. Julia loves authenticity, subjectivity, rusty nails, car parks, fireworks, close ups and most of all characters that chase moments that are larger than life itself.
