Bio / Resumé
Sacred Sacred is comprised of the two brothers Philip and Henrik Ekström, a duo that has been making music since they founded their first band at the tender ages of 9 and 12. Their current band “The Mary Onettes” released its debut album in 2007 and the record gained them international recognition. Major television productions and motions pictures such as Greys Anatomy, Being Human and Like Crazy (winner of the Grand Jury Price at Sundance in 2011) has featured their works.
In 2011 the brothers released a Swedish album called “Det Vackra Livet” which won a prize at the Manifestgala.
Sacred Sacred is where the Ekström brothers further realize their vision as composers, focusing on writing music that is specifically adapted for motion picture. As Sacred Sacred they strive to make sound that complements and tributes visual art and they do so by adapting to the circumstances of the film, creating a unique tailored sound to enhances any picture.
Their film “Make life a ride” for BMW won an award at the German PR filmfestival Die Klappe.
