Bio / Resumé
Swedish director Beata Gårdeler was born 1973 in Solna, Sweden. Gårdeler attended the directing program at the Kalix High School and went on as an assistant director on a number of films. She then directed the episodes of the TV series “Lite som du” and “Spung” on SVT. TV series 30 degrees in February won Kristallen for best television drama, aswell was nomineed for an Emmy. In year 2014 she won Swedish short film award for “Vännerna”.
Beata´s feature film debut was the adaptation of Lotta Thells novel “In Your Veins”. In 2015 the acclaimed drama feature Flocken was awarded Crystal bear at Berlin film festival for best film aswell as three Guldbagge awards 2016. At Los Angeles Film festival Beata also won the World fiction award. Has recently been filming Jonas Hassen Khemiris “Everything I don’t remember”, winner of the acclaimed August award for best book of the year, for Swedish television, SVT. Series premiered at SVT in 2019.
